Hello all!

We are a sheepskin tannery based in Napier. We have been in the tanning business for over 40 years. Recently we have started doing a lot of private tanning for customers. This has been such a popular service with customers that we are now spreading the word.

We tan all kinds of animal skins including cow hides, sheepskins, deer, goat, alpaca plus many more.

We take skins from all over the country via courier and send them back to you. It's been so popular as people have; loved the skins for their homes, as gifts or a great way to preserve trophy skins.

Any question or queries check the links below or leave us a comment we would love to chat.

Kind regards,
The Classic Sheepskins Team.

Buggar just sent a highland to the freezer ...would have loved the skin but couldn't find a tanner.

However we had a Galloway done a few years ago , but the guy who did it did it by hand and it's very stiff and thick...can it be "worked on to get it supple, he said it needed a machine to do it and he didn't have one.
I will also have more Galloways in the future so will keep you in mind
Great service

Thats great, better than sending to the South Island.
Did you put an ad in the classified section of the forum as it seems you are offering something very useful to us and it would be much easier to find you if you had a classified ad.

Hi,

We do have the machine to do that. Though there are factors in the quality of the original tanning which effect the ability to do it at a later stage. If you are ever in the area and can bring it in, we would be happy to look to see if we could do anything to help.

We have had a few Galloway's coming through over the last few weeks. They look stunning! I'll post some images on our website blog when they are finished.

Thanks.
