Hi folks,

We don't have an LSB to call our own.... but we would like to buy one. :)

We're looking in the Blenheim area, close to town, elevated position, north facing, something around 4+ha. If you are selling something like this please drop us a note.

Our goals are simple, growing our own fruit and veg, have some laying hens and a few cows, harvesting our own water and power.

I've enjoyed reading the articles from this site, and knowing there is a fabulous community of people willing to share their experiences.

Cheers
murray

Hi Murray.C - welcome to the forum. You're right - there are so many helpful and generous people on LSB and there's always something new to learn.

Your goals sound great and I hope you find your special piece of land soon. Look forward to hearing how your search goes.

Cheers, Mich

Welcome to the site & good luck with your search :)

They may have a local paper you could place an ad in? Someone may be thinking of selling but havnt got around to the advertising part

Animals rule our place... cows, calves, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, donkeys, chickens, ducks... the list goes on
...."lifestyle block like" 25 or so acres around the house attached to a rather large farm with dairy drystock & a 600 cow dairy conversion :)....1500 acres to call home

Forgive me if I am being thick here - but being a new member I can't seem to find any place for listing or notifying other would be parties of properties for sale or purchase. It seems to me to be the obvious place to match up interested parties - what do the powers that be and other members think about it? There only seems to be a rental property in the classifieds.

Being in my position I couldn't agree more.
This would be a great place to connect with private sale arrangements.
I'm in the market to buy - near Blenheim.
