I have just inherited around 2ha of grazing land in the central plateau. Being a city slicker I barely know a sheep from a cow. I don't really know what to do with it and I will be probably be selling it off. I was wondering however if it is worth planting it with pine trees or similar for a bit of pocket money in the future? If so were do I go for advice? I can't seem to find much about it on the interweb
Or maybe building a Bach and planting trees for firewood, aesthetics and to avoid having to keep the grass maintained?
Or could I do all of the above?
It is fairly flat and has good access if that is any help

2ha is probably too small for a pine crop to be of any significant return/value. Perhaps you could lease it to a neighbouring farmer in the meantime whilst you decide what to do in the long term.
