Hi from DF!
Firstly, what an awesome place of finding information and advice this forum is. So thanks heaps for letting us newbies in and for the knowledge shared.
My wife and I have spend most our lives in the labs in universities and were looking for a change in our life style although we are active outdoors and enjoy kayaking, fishing, and camping.
We dont own a property yet but just grabbed an opportunity to rent a block in Dairy Flat. We are in our late 20s and have seen most people our age live in little flats and apartments so this is a big step for us. Driving up and down to work alone puts most younger folks off, forget about small scale farming and stuff. We are different though.
Really looking forward to this and cant wait to relocate rural in a month time.
Cheers

The main thing you will have to remember is....... you CHOSE this lifestyle. [

I would not change it for the world.

We are in our mid/late 20's also, and have owned a place up in Kaipara for the past 2 years. Hard work, but love it. The commute for me is 40 minutes each way!
