Family looking to become lifestyle block/farm sitters

Hi Our long term plan is to buy a lifestyle block but before we do that we'd like to try it out and see if it suits us. We are a clean living, responsible family looking to house sit for extended stays of 2 months or more. Ideally, we'd like a 3 or 4 bedroom property in Taranaki or surrounds but will consider anywhere on NI. Looking after animals or gardens is no problem. My husband is handy with a welder and power tool so maintenance is no problem either. We will be registering on kiwi house sitting sites. Any advice about house sitting on lifestyle properties would be great.
