Hi there,
After being made redundant late last year as a rest home worker due to it's closure I thought it was time for a change of direction. In June this year I purchased 10 acres of land and have also purchased 8 five month old calves and 2 yearlings. My husband and I are in the process of building on the land. My husband is a farm assistant for a local dairy farmer, so his many years of expertise will come in handy, as this towny has limited knowledge of farming.
In time I hope to increase my farm animals to lots of chooks, 2 pigs, a kune kune pet pig and a house cow. This will add to our already 4 cats, 2 Labradors, 7 chooks, and Mo the galah
I'm open to learning, so let the fun begin.
