Hi Everyone,
Have just moved to a new property in Kerikeri, just 2.5 acres, but all in grass and flat and the soil looks good. There are some existing fruit trees. At this stage we aren't sure if we will plant more fruit trees or fence off a piece and run 2 or 3 sheep. I rather fancy planting more trees, maybe heirloom varieties.
We love our new rural life and our lovely dog thinks she's in heaven as she has lots of space to run.

Welcome to LSB.
Are your trees citrus or others?
Remember most rural fences are not dog proof!

The little b*****s love to nibble on trees, next door have a Houdini, only 1 out of the 6 sheep that got over to our place 4 times, nibbled the tops of freshly grafted trees and striped the low branches of any fruit trees it passes by, the only way they stopped it was with an electric fence at nose height.Akzle;457390 wrote: plant new trees AND have sheep.
