Hi all
Well here we are, house finally built after living in a tent, then caravan, then cabin with a camp shower. So we sent the first 9 months just getting by. So now it's the exiting times, first we are building a barn.........have anyone out there built a versatile 4 bay concrete pad farm building ? Instructions that are meant to be easy are just a tad confusing, could do with someone to bounce some ideas off. Got the pad down, nailing the posts together but we have some duel measurements which make no sense, anyone come across this ? Oh and excuse my silly user name wasn't paying attention when signing up

Hiya, welcome. Can't help on the building question but you'll likely get more responses/visibility if you post the question in the Your Place or Other Things forum.

where are you, i'm good at concreting. and building, for that matter...

dual measurements could be either: from interior or exterior of wall or slab edge (90-150mm difference) or either side of post.

We are in Rangiora so not so close :) Hubby thinks he may have sorted it after sleeping on it. It still confuses the hell out of me. Thanks loads. J

Thanks for your response, this is so cool, people so willing to help. Think we may have this one sussed, but I have a feeling as it is our first blg venture there will be more going on, and a bit further on down the line we may even be able to help back :)
Trying to respond to individuals but replies just going to bottom of screen. So thanks to you all for your time and offers of help. :)

Well, you have come to the right place for getting answers to your questions. All my queries have been answered (usefully :D ) and I have learnt so much by reading posts that may not, at first glance, be relevant to things I need to know :) . I log on every day in case I miss something :D

We built a four bay Versatile on our block, my ex was a builder and he still found himself scratching his head somewhat on the instructions - the set we got had generic instructions for a range of different sizes, so fun and games sorting out which bit went with which kitset!

Good luck! :) They are great sheds - once you get them up.

Take a break...while I take care of your home, your block, your pets, your stock! [;)] PM me...

Well our first lesson learnt was not to stack hay face down (instead of side down or on pallets). So that is one tip I can pass on to someone!!!

Hey Tigger good luck on getting your own block again, at least you will be able to decipher the instructions .

Jazznz I am hoping I may find that thing I am good at :)

And I will keep on checking in, still trying to decide what animals it get, gotta be chooks, possibly Wiltshire sheep, but I would love some goats and Alpacas but until we get the troughs connected and a hen house built we are still at point a. Exciting times ahead .

Cheers
