My wife and I just purchased 12 acres just north of Waikanae.

Looking for advice on what breeds to run.

We're going to raise beef cattle to sell and lambs for the freezer.

Very exciting times

Welcome. I am a new lsber just north of you but with a much smaller lsb so can't help you with animals choices but there are plenty of people who will be able to help. Exciting times for you

hi Kiwi...welcome to the site, i have 23 acres run wiltshire sheep for meat they are great low maintenance and galloway cattle.
Dont make money but cover all the costs and eat very well.
