Pest Evictions.

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but,
Does anyone around Auckland area or northern Waikato region have too many bunnies hopping around?

I am a 42 year old (ex military) looking for suitable property to hunt rabbits, possums and any other wild pest animals using either Air Rifle, .22 rimfire rifle(silenced), shotgun or .308 rifle.
Have been hunting for a good few years and have an exemplary conduct record, and of course a current NZ firearms licence.

We have a few running around our place nibbling my trees and generally being a pest. So far they have been a bit too elusive for our 18 year old son to be able to get with his air rifle, so if you want to help out, please let me know.

I've been shooting a few in recent days, which has made our dog very happy

But we're much too far away to be of any interest I suspect. Last year, a keen marksman from Auckland did pay us a visit and decimated our rabbit population, but I have to keep at it, or they start multiplying again. He helped me get the telescopic sights set up correctly on my Air Rifle, and also showed me how to hold it correctly as it has one helluva kick. Now it is pretty much deadly even at 50 to 75 yards. Previously I was struggling to hit anything at much over 20 to 30 yards.

Glad to hear youve got the rifle sorted and that the old growler is happy with a full stomach, have you tried eating them yourself? they do make a rather splendid curry especialy with saltanas and cubed apple pieces.
