Hi all.

Been browsing around the forum for a couple of months now and thought it about time I joined. Seems to be lots of good info and lots of friendly people here willing to help out with advice.

My wife, son and I are currently living in Melbourne. We have recently purchased 11 acres with a house in Oxford and plan on moving over within the next 6-12mths. We can't wait for the move, but need to save a bit more money for the move before we can get there.

I look forward to reading more and maybe asking a few questions once we get into our new home.

Anyway, welcome X-toma. Do you mean Oxford in Canterbury or Oxford in the Waikato (now called Tirau)?

I meant Oxford, Canterbury. Didn't know Tirau was once called Oxford. I lived in Matamata for four years and my mother used to work in Tirau.

Well it's all official! Today settlement took place on our property in Oxford. We are now the mortgage holders of an 11.5 acre property with a 3 Bedroom house!

Will hopefully be moving in sometime next year, fingers crossed
