hi - i have just purchased my first LSB. Have rented a 20 acre block for the last 3 years and before that farmed my own farm of 800 acres for 21 yrs. We have horses on 12.6 acres, plus hazelnut trees. Im not sure about keeping the trees as they appear to be lots of work for not much income. Mat=ybe someone can comment about that! We have 16 chocks as well and are looking for a few sheep to add to our family. I live on my block with my daughter who is currently building up her horse schooling business, plus we offer a foaling service for mare owners. I look forward to getting lots of ideas / advice off here [^]

Hi Wendy. You have chosen a good area. Good luck with the horse schooling business.

I don't know how profitable hazelnuts are, but I had heard they are a lot easier to harvest than walnuts, as they are not so sensitive to being left lying on the ground.
