Hi
Well we have bees and 50 acres
Looking fwd to the interaction on the forum

Wanting advice on traditional Breeds of cattle as we are trying to go organic.
Building a treated timber free home/ barn out of recovered timbers and loving getting back to the land after an absence in the crazy world ;-)

Kind regards
Logan and Heather

Hi Logan and Heather,

What is it you believe about particular cattle breeds which makes you think they are your best option? (I agree with you, of course, but it always helps to know where you're starting from. :))

Is that your log cabin/house you are building on the Woodcocks road? Look up Highland Cattle.

Hi there Tig, welcome to lovely warkworth. The sun does shine normally in summer, honest! We are on 16 acres 5 mins outside of town. If you ever want to come over and have a chat feel free. Just PM me on the forum for contact details.

1 kiwi husband, 14 year old boy girl twins. Gave up my beautiful 16 acres north of auckland for 1000m2 in central christchurch! Yikes. Plan to get as much produce out of that 1000m2 as possible.

There is a kaipara biodynamic group that is very active and there are a number of people from your area who are lsbers. While you might not want to go biodynamic, you might find it worthwhile and going to those field trips of interest. It would be a good way of getting to know similar minded people in your area. If you are interested in their contact details, you can send me a private message and I will give you a contact
