Well we have bees and 50 acres
Looking fwd to the interaction on the forum
Wanting advice on traditional Breeds of cattle as we are trying to go organic.
Building a treated timber free home/ barn out of recovered timbers and loving getting back to the land after an absence in the crazy world

Is that your log cabin/house you are building on the Woodcocks road? Look up Highland Cattle.

1 kiwi husband, 14 year old boy girl twins. Gave up my beautiful 16 acres north of auckland for 1000m2 in central christchurch! Yikes. Plan to get as much produce out of that 1000m2 as possible.

There is a kaipara biodynamic group that is very active and there are a number of people from your area who are lsbers. While you might not want to go biodynamic, you might find it worthwhile and going to those field trips of interest. It would be a good way of getting to know similar minded people in your area.
