Hi LSBers,

We have just bought a block near Cust, Canterbury. Still waiting in the Orange Zone but took the chance to chase our dream plan now (not getting any younger anyway). Hoping things will work out when our little boy turns 5 to start at the local school there(so we have 1 1/2 years to sort things out and build - gee that is gonna be a rush).

Looking foward to being part of the rural community. Wife is looking forward to getting a horse (I just want something with horsepower!).

Welcome to the area! There are lots of us out this way, and it's a good community. Good luck sorting out the Orange Zone issues, it's going to be ages and ages before everyone is sorted to some sense of satisfaction, and hope you're not one of the ones who will slip through the cracks.
