I wonder if chooks like rugby???
Not wanting to state the obvious, but "Hi there, and guess what? I'm new to LSB!!" Moved into 10 acres about 2 months ago close to Oxford and loving everything about it!
Currently have a couple of chooks and a K9 that is enjoying her new found feathered friends!
Plans....golly gosh, don't know where to start. Build a chook house, plant some more shelter belts, get some baa's soon hopefully and maybe some moo's later on. All for the meat..ie no wool or milk.
I have a million questions so best I go start searching as I'm sure it's already been covered many a time.
So hi to everyone...and thanks in advance (coz we gonna need all the help we can get!!)

That's quite a gathering you have there Stu!! Are the Akita's long or short coat? I've only ever seen pics of them, they seem like quite the companions though

How on earth do you smuggle a rooster?? Now I bet that put a smile on the security guys face, makes a change from booze I guess!
Great to meet ya'll...look forward to hanging out on the threads.

I am loving it - as by the sounds of it so are you! This is amazing for us, and although very busy, i just am loving watching all of my babies growing up! This site is great, the people are so helpful - and some great debates to weigh in on!

@ Lillies..Starting to thinking about getting some sheep but some say they're a good place to start and some look at us like we're mad!! Guess we're mad coz we figure the only way to get the experience to look after sheep is to get some. My partners Father had been around sheep for years so we will gleam as much wisdom as we can from him. Sounds like you have quite the setup there...I is jealous [^]...maybe this time next year we will be boosting a bit more livestock ....and lots of elephant garlic hopefully[8D]
woohoo...
