Hoping to be a new LSB

Hi everyone,
Very glad to have found this website. We are hoping to become new LSB and are negotiating on some land at the moment. Fingers crossed we can join you guys and I also have my toes crossed as we are stuck at the moment with 'GST negotiation'!

Hi Stephclark, much as I will like to stay in Auckland, we are westies, unfortunately costs of land is very expensive now. It must be very expensive in Kumeu now I am sure. So we are looking in Canterbury, partly because my husband now works there and anywhere in NZ, is beautiful so I think we are spoilt for choice!

good luck.. yes where we are is rediculous.. but we bought years ago when no one wanted out this way.. one day, when i retire, it will be sold and we will head off somewhere south too..canty is a lovely area.. so is most of the sth island..

Latest update, we are discussing finance with the bank now so fingers crossed, vendor has not accepted offer yet but that's because the new contract has not been taken out by the agent for them to sign. So hopefully good things are to come... only complication with Canterbury (because of the earthquakes) that we will need a geotech report as specified by the bank. You learn new things everyday

Stephclark, we love Kumeu, we are 10 minutes from it and I am sure you will get very good prices if you do sell and that will be great as then you will not have to worry about $$$ anymore, and do the things you really do want to do.

Welcome to the forum - we shifted from Auckland to Canterbury three years ago - absolutely love it! All the best with your move.

ok, qiuck update, our offer accepted and we are on the 10 days settlement right now. Have done geotech report (was going to take some time as they are flat out in Chch) and now onto valuation. Fingers crossed we can make the 10 days!
