This site has always come up on google searches when we've needed info on stuff so we thought it was high time we joined!
We're currently living on the west coast with 2 little boys, a dog and 20+ chickens, grazing our highland cattle in the north island on my parents stud farm. We've spent almost a year living off the grid on solar power, have a growing orchard, I make pretty much everything from scratch and we're working towards being 90% self sufficient. Not sure what else to add except hullo

Thankyou
To clarify my first post as I didn't write it clearly - we lived in a solar powered housebus for almost a year which was our first ever foray into alternative power and it was interesting to say the least lol we are now back on the grid as of 3 weeks ago as it wasn't our bus and their deep cycle batteries were old to begin with so once shorter days hit bam no power at all plus constant leaks and a rodent invasion :cringe: not the way to live especially with 2 littlies! We are currently working towards setting ourselves up off the grid with all we've learnt
