Hi everyone.

I've just found this website and am looking forward to talking to people on here.

I've just made an offer on a lifestyle property outside of Oamaru and am looking forward to relocating there.

I used to own a small lifestyle property in New South Wales - I had 2 pet sheep and 3 horses (and stables and a 40 x 20m sand arena) but I had to sell up when I moved to NZ nearly 8 years ago.

Now I've reached the stage in my life when I can stop working fulltime, cash in my Aussie Super and enjoy life in the country where I won't have to keep an eye out for, tiger, brown and red belly black snakes!

Cheers

Helen

Let us know when you get there. We were up near Oamaru last week buying some Arapawas, and there are some wonderful properties up there.

Hi again

I'm hoping to be there near the end of March. I've got a conditional offer on my house and am keeping my fingers crossed that the purchasers have no problems getting finance.

Congratulations Helen! Always nice to have things fall into place! Enjoy the transition.

Hoping to get out of the city while I am still young enough to make the land productive.

All the best for your life in Oamaru. It's great there. Good climate (although a bit cloudier of late than it usually is!). We are just inland from Oamaru and love it. :)

Congrads on house, and your new life in the country. We have been lifestylers for about 8 months now and are loving it. I am glad we don't have to worry about the snakes here.

Well, the dream has come true and we got the keys to our new home on Thursday. It's all very, very exciting. The weather has been very kind to us and everyone is making us feel very welcome.

Hi there.

I'd like to have a horse ( I used to have horses in Australia) and some chooks (this place used to be a poultry farm so it has more chook houses than you can imagine!) and maybe some alpacas. I don't eat meat so don't want to have something that would go on a one way ride to the 'works'.
