is that 4 years for real lsbers or for the 1 acre lawn brigade? Why would anyone sell their lsb unless their buying more land , more remote, perhaps with a castle?
Bræðr munu berjask ok at bönum verðask,
munu systrungar sifjum spilla;
hart er í heimi, hórdómr mikill,
skeggöld, skalmöld, skildir ro klofnir,
vindöld, vargöld, áðr veröld steypisk;
mun engi maðr öðrum þyrma.

And sisters' sons | shall...

We've been at this LSB thing for going on 11 years now, and only wish we had the dosh to upgrade to more land.

As Andrea said, it's pretty easy to make your own milking bale

Seriously though, do you need a head bale for your goats madeit? We don't bother. We just clip a lead onto their collars and tie them up on the milking stand. If they are a bit wild we tie their back legs too. Much easier to handle than a reluctant cow.

Unfortunately .... There are some aspects of LSBing that are a worse experience than hell. This is where this website is so very useful to those of us that have not experienced that hell. We can ask questions and get information to help us and our animals much, much faster than we used to be able to do.
Also unfortunately, it is the unusual and sickness aspects that are more interesting to those of us that want to help you and your animals to avoid the mistakes that we have made with our animals. Writing a list of good things does not let those people that are here to help assist you.
So ..... have fun, learn lots, do things, but ...... always, always, always remember that the things that must be done will not be fun.

from spending all day in the sun and wind and rain, working butt off to fix up fences, to sit back on the deck with something cool and watch the stock walk up to your new fence and push it over.. gotta laff

its not all hard work.. laff at yourself and the animals and you will thoroughly enjoy it...
