Great to see so much info on this web-site.
I work with organic and common sence solutions around Wanaka to the West coast.
I make tools for the farming, fencing, construction, tree planting, trades.
My passion is alternative power and have done lots of off-grid electrical power systems.
I formerly had nurseries in Western U.S. and in Hawaii.
Bamboo has been a friend and foe and I have lots of experience with this plant and happy to provide any help with Bamboo questions.
Lots of cold weather around here at the moment and I think that the whitebait are starting to make there way up the rivers.
Our lambs have been allright as it was down south that really got hit hard.
Look forward to contributing to this web-site.
Cheers, T.J.

Welcome TJ. Fond memories from my youth of Hawea Flat school, Timaru Creek and other places over your way. Great place to live

Hi T.J. and wecome to the site, what breed of sheep did you settle on?.......We have sheepfarmer friends in WY........what part of the US were you from?..........Are you using "organic methods" to raise your sheep,if so,I am sure that many of us would be interested in your methods?................Even though we are on the other side of "the ditch",we find the site useful and the views expressed interesting............Look forward to seeing you start some threads...............T.O.R.............Quote :Knowledge only increases in value ,when its shared.

Welcome to the forum, TJ!
I'd really be interested in info on bamboo that would do okay on the Canty plains in our heavy frost area. I've seen a few little patches of it about on farms that I can see from the roadside, and would love to be able to grow it as a fodder for my goats, but so far no luck, though admittedly I haven't really pursued it in about 4-5 years.
