Hi everyone, thought it was time to join up and join in [8D] (I have been lurking a bit...)

We are on 15 acres just outside Pukekohe - moved here in april 2010 - my first experience of land > 1/4 acre

Hubby works full time +, i'm at college full time - studying to be a Naturopath and Medical Herbalist and we have 2 over-active boys 6 and 4

oh and we've decide to start breeding Alpacas - 13 strong start up herd, just waiting for the babies now...

I was born n bred up your way ( well at Waiuku) so kinda know your area ( even though and down in the Manawatuu these days )
hope you have other animals to , as from what i have heard 13 Alpacas might not keep up with the grass on 15acres

We are still deciding what other animals we will run, a small flock of sheep, a couple of beefies [?] lots to do on the land as well,

Goats!!!! That's want you need... you probably don't realise it yet but you need goats!!!
They are fun and are friendly and LOVE cuddles and there are heaps of goat nutters on here to help you out with their needs. They will need a shelter but that;s just a tiny thing compared to the joy they will bring you. You can milk them and the milk is just the best!!! If you're going to be a homeopath, well, goats milk is the best milk for consumption. I don't know how I managed life without my goats. I have nine and wouldn't part with them for the world!
