Sorry SG, I am out of your area... and Devan will tell you how shocking I am at catching up with her after all this time of being on here and being back in NZ (we don't very far away from each other either).
sign of the times I guess?

1 kiwi husband, 14 year old boy girl twins. Gave up my beautiful 16 acres north of auckland for 1000m2 in central christchurch! Yikes. Plan to get as much produce out of that 1000m2 as possible.

Have made some great friends in 'real life' off this site, for everything from phone natters and walks, visits/coffees/lunches to boardgame sessions on rainy afternoons

KKK (aka Kaukapakapa) is a friendly little village.
Sarniagirl - I think meeting up is a good idea, How about Orewa?, there are plenty of places (bars or cafes) where we could get refreshments.
Celt - Is Orewa ok for you, or is it too far?? And which day would suit everyone?
Spoook ??
Sarniagirl is right - we can do this

Sadly we're moving away from Kaukapakapa at the end of the month. I did have a suggestion though for those who wanted to catch up - why not the Kaukapakapa market and carboot sale at the hall on Sunday 21 February? There's someone selling coffee and yummy food (one lady from Makarau makes and sells authentic Indian food too). After a look around you could grab a bite to eat, pop next door to the school and the kids can play on the playground or kick a ball around while the adults get to know each other.
Make sure you stop and say hi to me ('Pip') though - I'll be at the market most of the morning, signing people up for the bus trial in March.
