Hi there everybody,
I am a complete newbie, so not sure if I am doing it right!!
We have 10 acres in Timaru, and I have miniature cattle and horses. I would really really love some miniature goats if anybody knows of any!!!
This is such a great site, I have learnt heaps already!!

Welcome Charlie
Is there a reason you like miniature animals in particular?
NZ doesn't have the recognised mini breeds that they have in the USA and UK, but Angora are pretty tiny goats (40-50kg) and not very high, and Arapawa can be quite small (55cm high in the small ones).
There are some breeders who claim to breed "mini" goats, but if so they have "down sized" through breeding, vs having an actual recognised mini goat breed like a Nigerian Dwarf or Pygmy.
Personally, a mini goat sounds like a goat that will need better fencing than I can be bothered with! And if you're a goat person, size doesn't matter - the bigger they are, the more there is to love
