Jerry's other (better?) half

Hello,

I thought I had better jump on the bandwagon too as I get to look at these sheep all day long, so I had better find out a bit about looking after them!

Jerry has introduced himself below, so I won't repeat everything he has already said.

It's been a bit of a shock to the system moving to a semi rural location, especially being stuck at home with two small kids. Still, it's nice not having neighbours peering into your windows from two feet away - although I would love a footpath along the road. Definitely getting used to it though!

We only have the six sheep for now, but hopefully we will keep a couple of next years lambs to increase the flock. Would definitely like some chooks at some point, maybe in a years time. I would love a donkey or a goat, but Jerry won't let me...

Mr nearly two, Miss two months, giant chocolate lab, crackpot cat, four ewes and two tasty lambs. Hopefully chickens in the near future.

Welcome to the site, Margo :D

I can sympathise with your statement about the goats and the donkeys. I'm not allowed pigs either [:(!] even though I only want them for the freezer, not forever! And there is a distinct lack of enthusiasm for my growing flock of chooks as well [}:)]

Take a break...while I take care of your home, your block, your pets, your stock! [;)] PM me...

Welcome Margot... I'm sure with your alter-ego's infamous powers of persuasion :D [;)] goats and donkeys will be in your future :D

Have either of your ever been to a property with goats and/or donkeys. I've introduced several "non goat" people to my goats, and converted them on the spot with very little effort :D

:) Welcome Margo :)
:) go for the goat ... smaller than a donkey , cheaper to feed :) .. depending on the goat, also harder to keep inside the correct fences lol :)... worth all the effort though :) as they all have personalities and are super smart :)

LOL TKP :) .. great idea :) lol and as in the TV couple , jerry would never dare send back Margo's xmas pressent :)

Or better yet, goats[8D] - a goat on its own will always be looking for company, and that's not good. Goats need friends, and once you see goats in a herd (or with other animals) you'll understand why.

Oh, did we mention goats are quite easy to get addicted to? :D [;)]
