Had a busy day yesterday. Culled a large white (cobb) rooster for his feathers. Yes the meat is in the fridge marinating.[;)]

Then spent the day washing and dying them.

My house smelt of artificial food flavorings - Grape, Cherry, Orange & Blueberry.[xx(][xx(][xx(]

We now have 4 piles of Mauve, Red, Orange & Blue feathers. :D :D :D

The red ones are the most interesting as I ran out of white feathers so had to use the Faverolles molt feathers from the bottom of the hen house.[B)]

The white parts are bright red the black bits are shiny with a red sheen and the tan bits have gone copper. Stunning.

Still Green (lime) and Yellow (tumeric) to go and I have completely run out of feathers.

Best go and get the other rooster...

DD is using them for a school project.

She took some to school today and the Teacher told some of the kids that we have chickens that color in the back yard.[:0]
