baby wool (real wool) where to get? was created by 3 girls farming
I've searched high and low in PNth and I can't find any reasonably priced baby wool (plenty of nasty acrylic stuff - don't want it[xx(]).. I knit baby vests for a midwife I know who hands them out to all her winter babies so I don't want really expensive wool.. managed to get heaps a few years back at Spotlight for $1 a ball which was great.. boughts bags of wool and made heaps of vests.. were a lot of snuggly babies in the Manawatu that year..
Any clever ideas? if anyone comes across any reasonably priced wool in their own area can they PM me????

I have a 50g ball of Sirdar pink DK, and 25gms (some might not be quite a full ball) of DK in white, cream and aqua that I can post you, if you are interested. I only ever used wool in the days I knitted a lot but maybe the DK is too thick?

There is a wool shop on the square in Palmerston North that has the really fine baby wool.

Baby wool [:0] You could shear them before you squeeze them to extract the baby oil [

You could look at a lot of the Steiner shops, there may not be one near you but there are heaps of people selling good quality wool for knitting. I only know the one in auckland is ceres, but there will be one wellington or anywhere there are steiner schools

Hi, I visited the Wool Company in Utiku last week, they have 2 and 3 ply merino baby wool. Reasonable priced, considering the quality of the wool. They guarantee it not to pill. They have a mail order catalogue or you can shop online. Hope this helps. I think the days of good quality cheap wool has gone, but often the op shops especially the sallies in Main St, Palm North often have odd balls of baby wool, very reasonable.
