The Creative Fibre exhibition of socks is coming to Waiheke Community Art Gallery and I was surprised to learn we are the only gallery in Auckland to host it. The whole exhibition only takes up a suitcase I am told, and I am sure they'd be delighted for smaller places to have it.
Has anyone out there in LSB-land seen it and what did you think if so?

We're having a week of sockness, there is a Waiheke response (The Joy of Socks) also at the Oneroa gallery, a free midweek sock workshop with Blendy of 'Blendy Knits Socks' fame, and World Wide Knit in Public Day is just over the horizon- June 11th I think.
After us the socks travel to Rotorua, I am not too sure how to arrange to get it, but it would not be too hard to display- it all fits into a suitcase I think. We had a lot of fun gathering our local sock-response.
The Sock Exhibition is also going to Tauranga.. I have no idea whereabouts in Tauranga but Creative Fibre might have it on their website. I am reliably informed that it was THE MOST VISITED EXHIBITION in thw Waiheke Community Art Gallery- we had Socks Tourism!!
I had no idea there was a travelling sock exhibition. When will it be on Waiheke, Iniuk? I might have to make a special trip!
