It will be on show with many many more quilts, at the Wai-Quilts exhibition being held at the Gordonton hall, near Hamilton, starting 29th April 4pm, until 10 pm, Sat 3oth April 10 am to 10pm, and Sunday 10 am to 6pm. This is a change from the original venue because the Winter Show has been cancelled. But I believe that the Gordonton Hall is lovely. The event will feature quilts from many other groups as well as the Waikato Patchworkers and Quilters Guild. The only judged event will be Peoples choice, which will be very interesting. They are also running a raffle for a lovely Blue and cream Quilt valued $2500 tickets are $2 each. One good thing about hanging this quilt and my other lovely one is that they will be easier to photograph, as they will be hung on proper stands. Thanks Kate for putting my photo on here. Now I am starting a quilt with tractors and farm animals ( was a barn in that block but young fella wants animals, so grandma will have to use her thinking cap to do that block) for my 4 year old grandson. hope I can get it done for his birthday in June!!
Spook buy the material and you are promised a quilt like that!! I still have the pattern and will do it for you, you may have to wait a little, as have the tractor one for 4 year old grandson, a horse one for 8 year old grandaughter, and a Tree one for an 11 year old grandson, then yes I could probably do it for you.
1 Border collie, 1 Huntaway, 2 Lhasa Apsos, Suffolk and arapawa ewe crosses, an Arapawa ram,an East Friesian ewe , 5 cats, 42 ducks , 1 rooster and 30 hens, 5 geese, 12 goats, 2 donkeys, 2 house cows, one heifer calf, one bull calf, 3 rabbits and lots and lots and lots of fruit trees...
