Got this bug in my ear the other day, decided to make a blankie for the grandbaby for Christmas (and if I don't finish by then, birthday's in January, so always a contingency plan! LOL).
So here's my problem...I chose a yarn I've never actually worked with before, Moda Vera wisp, and am two-stranding the crocheting...the bit I need help in is joining in a second skein. My normal routine with typical yarn has been to do a discreet little knot and weave it into the finished product. However, this wisp stuff is really weird...a thin little strand with fluffies. I've managed to more or less hide the knots from the first join-in, but I can't for the life of me remember any other way of joining up yarn. Help?

Hi Diane
I'm not the greatest of crochet people but if I recall it has something to do with taking the new piece of yarn through the loop on the hook with enough tail to be 'woven' back through the stitches when finishing. You would then continue to crochet your pattern. Hope that makes sense! Good luck.
Cheers!

Thanks, I remembered the weaving back of the tail, but that was about it (been 'cheating' with the knots for too long!). I'll give it a try the next set I have to bring in, think this is going to be a 4-joiner...

Hi Diane...me again...hope the change over in colour info has helped. I receive emails from Lion Brand Yarn and they have great info and patterns for both knitting and crochet. I'm unsure how to add the link but if you were to search the internet for Lion Brand Yarn I'm sure you will find it. They have some interesting patterns and if you are good at converting yarns a good site to browse through. Happy festive season to you and yours.
Cheers!
