our homemade beds!
i felt the need to brag a bit about my clever husband. he made me/us a bed for my birthday a few years ago, then he made our son one when he moved out of his cot. and this weekend we moved our daugther out of her cot into her new bed for her second birthday, which he made too.
she loves it and each morning announces 'i had a sleep in a BIG girls bed!' it is so gorgeous... anyway here they are...

I'm so envious of those of you with 'handy' husbands. My DH takes after my wonderful FIL, who mends everything he can with blue-tac and/or silicon. Very tiresome.
So, congratulations also on such an awesome choice in hubbie

My "handy man" is good at chook houses and fences, but I think a bed would be a bit rough and rustic from his hands, there has been talk about it though LOL.

he also does all my building, fences firewood etc, and does his share of looking after the kids. i am so fortunate! he has access to wood working tools at his work, his family own majacraft spinning wheels, so he is able to make some beautiful stuff. the toys he makes the kids out of wood are also awesome.
