Leather sewer wanted

Not sure if this is the right place for such a notice but I can't find anywhere more appropriate.

I am looking for an old style leather sewer, the hand operated sort that bootmakers etc used to use. Operational one, not an ornament.

As these tended to be a bit large, I need to find someone that would be prepared to crate it up for trucking too.

Please pm me if you can help. Thanks.

I thought that you were wanting a Sewing Awl, they are abtainable from Saddle shops, and you will be surprised what you can sew with them, I mend all our horse covers using one, and any saddlery that is needed fixing gets that used on it as well.

No Rae, what I am after is like a sewing machine but very robust. It has a narrow foot to enable long, thin objects to be slid over it and the drive is a bigger than normal wheel with a hand roll around the edge. No motor and belt but sometimes a small handle protruding from the drive wheel.

OK, found one on TM. A bit more than I wanted to pay but it looks like a real machine!
